PORSCHE CARS NORTH AMERICA

Atlanta, Georgia, a city known for its progressive arts, culture and global business landscape, will soon become the permanent home of automotive icon, Porsche Cars North America.

The company's headquarters has been in Atlanta since 1998, and they have announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in the new Aerotropolis district near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The 26.4 acre complex will house Porsche U.S. headquarters offices, a Driving experience Center with a 1.6-mile test track, a human performance center, a bet in class restaurant and an advanced technical training center.

During the company's groundbreaking ceremony, held Nov 27, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed expressed his enthusiasm over Porsche's decision to stake roots in Atlanta, and his desire to see other global companies continue this trend in coming years.

Also in attendance at the groundbreaking were Nathan Deal, governor of Georgia; Matthias Mueller, president and CEO of Porsche AG; and Wolfgang Porsche, grandson of the company's founding father, Ferdinand Porsche.

United States, which remains the single largest market for Porsche vehicles, said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America.

Gov. Deal anticipates Porsche's new home will bring an economic boost to the state's economy, and lend a distinctive contribution to the local culture and tourist circuit.

"Porsche's new headquarters is a terrific asset to Georgria's economy and a unique travel destination for the millions of travelers who arrive in our great state each year| said Gov. Deal. "I'm confident One Porsche Drive will become a renowned address that stands for vision, innovation  and success - as well as one of the greatest driving experiences in the world".

With employees relocating from the company's Chicago offices, as well as 100 new jobs created to address increased operations, Porsche expects 400 employees will eventually be housed in the new facility.

The new Porsche Cars North American Headquarters in Atlanta is expected to open doors at the end of 2014.
