Designer: Karim Rashid

KARIM RASHID THE MOST PROLIFIC DESIGNER OF HIS GENERATION

His love for designing cheap plastic items and promoting multi-use products has earned him the name of Prince of Plastic.

In fact, he claims that every new item must replace three old ones.

At the same time, this almost virtual reality he creates has also been applied beyond product to interiors such as the  Morimoto Restaurant, Philadelphia, the Semiramis Hotel in Athens, Greece with bold green and pink curves and design details that belong to a joyful futuristic city.

Others include the Nhow Hotel in Berlin, Universita Metro Station in Naples as well as the exhibition design for Deutsche Bank and Audi, this is how Karim Rashid imagines the future.

Karim's work is featured in 20 permanent collections and he exhibits art in galleries world wide.

Karim is a perennial winner of the Red Dot award, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design award, I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review  and IDSA Industrial Desing Excellence Award
