Tokihito Yoshida though has taken a quintessential item of British clothing,  a firm favorite of Queen Elizabeth,  and made it modern again. 

The Japanese designer has toned down the austere look, added a detachable waistcoat and a hood and increased the waterproofing, to create a truly rugged jacket that bridges past and future.
